I recently picked up an HO express reefer with a Blue Fred Harvey logo and map on it. I understand that it may have been produced as a fund raiser in the 1980’s for a Fred Harvey Museum somewhere in the SW. Do you have any additional info?
Thanks!

Thanks for the post and picture. I posted it in our “photos” section. Unfortunately, we were unable to ascertain the origins of the original model. Maurine McMillan, the former volunteer director of the Harvey House in Belen from 1992-2014, did not recall who produced it.
One of our founding BMRC members, Bob Rupp (AKA The Train Nut), purchased a copy of this car from eBay, years ago, and gave it to the Belen Harvey House for display. He does not recall the details. At last look, this model is still on display there.
Belen Model Railroad Club (BMRC) built and ran a permanent H.O. scale layout inside the Belen Harvey House from 1995 until November 26, 2014. After being evicted, we setup modules at the Mid Valley Air Park EAA hanger and held our first ever vendor show on Jan 24-25, 2015 there. We then held a modular show from April 20– May 2, 2015, along with a second vendor show, while we set up our new permanent display.
The BMRC was been re-designated as the Southwest Model Railroad Club (SWMRC) effective June 5, 2015. Our new permanent display opened Saturday June 13, 2015 and new hours are Wed-Sat from 12:30 – 3:30 pm (except federal holidays) from 12:30 – 3:30pm and other times by request; free of charge. We continue to hold spring and fall modular/vendor shows and occasionally set up special modular exhibits upon request.
Thanks for your interest. We hope this limited information was helpful!

I visited the Los Lunas heritage and the arts museum where the Southwest miniature railroad museum has set up its “moving” display of trains and villages and event spots the trains pass on their way. I can send you my video and photographs?
